Salim Diwan, who debuts in “Bollywood Dairies”, is playing the character of “Rohit” a call centre employee, who dreams as an established actor in Bollywood. He shares about his struggle and experience of Bollywood.

I come from Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. In my school days I was attached to the local theatre group. After my graduation, I left acting and joined my father’s Ayurvedic Pharma Company.

In 2005-06 I participated in a reality show “JET SET GO” on Star Plus and was the given IIFA award in Dubai.  I was awarded $1000 and seven days stay in Dubai, where I met many Bollywood Stars. This award made my desire strong to venture in Bollywood. I joined popular acting institute in 2010.

In the initial days of struggle it was very difficult to survive, I thought to quit the industry and go back to my family business. But my destiny was different. I continued sharpening my acting skill through various theatre groups.

“Bollywood Dairies” is very close to my heart, as it is everybody’s dream for Bollywood to make big.
